Job Title: Customer Marketing Specialist

Location: Basingstoke

Reporting to: Director, Customer Marketing & Advocacy, EMEA

The Function:

The EMEA Marketing function is responsible for defining and shaping the EMEA marketing strategy according to the overall global marketing and company objectives. The team is accountable for all aspects of marketing in EMEA including creation and execution of marketing activities to enable the growth of the region and to help lead Workfront through its next phase of growth. The single most important thing we can do is create and keep customers.

 

 

The Role:

The role of Customer Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Director, Customer Marketing & Advocacy, EMEA. The role will have the opportunity to work within our existing EMEA customer base to own and run a number of customer engagement programmes including user events, customer loyalty initiatives, customer nurture campaigns and support the execution of Workfront’s annual user conference and global advocacy programme.

 

This position will require the successful candidate to work with counterparts in the wider global marketing team including the US-based advocacy, creative, marketing operations and web teams to define and execute retention programmes.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with EMEA Sales, Customer Experience, Professional Services and Product teams to plan and execute regional Customer Retention Programmes
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to input into global strategy and execute global initiatives regionally
  • Execute against a quarterly marketing plan focused on existing customer retention
  • Be accountable to exceed quarterly retention targets
  • Become a traffic manager for all EMEA Customer Communications to ensure relevant and timely content
  • Ownership of customer data within the EMEA Marketing Team
  • Build rapport with customers to increase renewals, referrals, references, case studies and expansion opportunities

 

 

First Year Accomplishments & Success Measures:

 

  • Execute assigned EMEA retention programmes against set targets and timelines
  • Execute activities within assigned budget
  • Become trusted advisor to the customer growth Account Executive and Digital Sales Teams
  • Establish credibility, professionalism and expertise within the organisation as a high performer

 

 

Required Key Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 3+ years experience within a Marketing role
  • A proven track record in event management; preferably within a Customer Marketing field
  • Strong passion for building relationships and delighting customers to optimise the overall customer journey
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven marketer comfortable with running CRM reports as needed
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills to work within cross-functional teams and build rapport with stakeholders and customers
  • Strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day to achieve Workfront’s company goals
  • Strong analytical capability to determine programme effectiveness, ROI and forecasting
  • Positive and professional individual with a team-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands in a fast paced environment

 

Advantageous Skills:

 

  • Customer Events Experience
  • Background in planning and executing customer loyalty and retention initiatives
  • Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce
  • Previous experience in a high tech B2B SaaS organisation
  • Some working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite tools would be a benefit
