Workfront Product Manager Job Description

The Product Manager for our content initiative will work closely with a development team to guide products and features from inception to launch. You will work with internal stakeholders, customers, UX, development and QA teams to ensure that Workfront continues to lead the market in modern work management. You must have an eye for detail, a head for analytical thinking and a heart for great user experience. Walking into this role, you will be given the opportunity to lead and participate in the release and go to market of an all new Workfront product offering.

This person must exhibit customer empathy, and will learn about how customers use Workfront to understand the content lifecycle throughout an organisation. We want customers to effectively manage their work in progress, work outputs and intellectual property through an intelligent and intuitive user experience.

Your role starts early in the cycle: from requirement gathering, feature prioritization, feature definition and design and oversight during project execution, to evangelization of your features once complete. Some of the things you'll be doing include...

  • Gather user requirements and feedback from customers, partners, key stakeholders and user analytics
  • Translate requirements into detailed functional user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering group
  • Prioritise and maintain backlogs to ensure the delivery of product value
  • Contribute to the overall product strategy and vision
  • Work closely with UX, Development, QA, Marketing and Sales to define solutions and ensure successful product launch
  • Communicate regularly on project delivery status
  • Maintain, evaluate and update functionality as the product is delivered and feedback is gathered
  • Triage and help to urgently resolve any key customer issues
  • Contribute to documentation and continual improvement of the product development process
  • Strive to constantly develop yourself, maintaining a high awareness of industry trends and initiatives

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Taking new products to market in an established and mature customer base
  • Highly analytical and data-driven
  • Ability to deal with conflict and drive to solution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working with remote teams
  • Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once
  • Experience of working within Agile or Scrum software development environments
  • Strong awareness and interest in UX, design and technology
  • Experience using Pragmatic Marketing to develop and deliver software
  • BA/BS degree; MBA from a top tier school is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial software product or program management
