As president and CEO of Workfront, Alex Shootman drives the overall strategy, vision, and execution of the company, ensuring that Workfront is a dedicated partner in helping its customers transform the work experience. Alex brings more than 25 years of experience in all areas of revenue and profit generation for technology organizations, with significant experience leading SaaS-based companies.

Prior to joining Workfront, Alex was president of Apptio, where he was responsible for the company’s integrated sales and services functions globally. Prior to Apptio, Alex was the president of Eloqua, where he was responsible for leading the organization’s global sales, customer success, and field operations teams. Alex was integral in leading Eloqua’s category creation as an enterprise SaaS company, and in 2012 was a member of the team that helped bring Eloqua to a successful public offering, subsequently being acquired by Oracle. Alex has also held executive-level positions with Vignette, TeleTech, BMC Software, and IBM.

In his free time, Alex can usually be found trying to convince his legs that they really don’t hurt on a road bike or running trail, admiring the view from a 14er in Colorado, or down on a reef in his home state of Hawaii. That is if his four kids leave him any free time.

As Workfront’s chief customer officer, Sue Fellows is responsible for managing the Workfront customer organization, including Customer Experience, Education & Training, Customer Experience Operations, Strategic Services, and Technical Support.

Sue brings nearly two decades of experience working with customers to drive value and customer satisfaction. Prior to Workfront, Sue was the vice president of Global Customer Excellence at Apttus. During her tenure at Apttus, Fellows’ contributions in building the customer success and support functions resulted in increased customer satisfaction scores, as well as higher renewal rates for the organization. Sue has worked for both start-up and enterprise technology companies, including RightNow Technologies and Oracle, and has held leadership roles in professional services, operations, and customer experience management.

In Sue’s free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her family.

Lauren Day is chief communications officer of Prudential Financial, Inc. She leads an integrated, insight-led, strategy-centered organization designed to generate competitive advantage for Prudential and its diversified businesses worldwide. 

Previously, Lauren was a managing director and head of corporate communications and corporate social responsibility at the primary U.S. subsidiary of AXA S.A., where she was a member of the executive management group and served on the board of directors of the AXA Foundation.  

Lauren also served as director of strategic communications for American International Group (AIG), where she oversaw communications strategy and stakeholder management for the company’s global restructuring and recapitalization program. Prior to that, she was a senior associate in the capital markets group of AIG Investments. 

Lauren also served as a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow at KfW Bankengruppe in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where she focused on microfinance and microinsurance product development. 

In 2016 Lauren was named to PRWeek’s “Top 40 under 40” and in 2017 was named one of PR News’ “Top Women in PR.” She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Dartmouth College, where she was named a Presidential Scholar. She is a trustee of the Institute for Public Relations and an individual member of the American Council on Germany.

Monique Evans holds a unique marketing leadership role within Stanley Black & Decker. Managing a small, dedicated Workfront team, she focuses on the system’s overarching architecture - crafting insightful process efficiency recommendations and finding solutions. Monique’s success stems from her ability to deeply understand and empathize with the marketing department’s needs and challenges.  She accredits this to her previous experiences as graphic designer, project coordinator, and system administrator.A 4-year Leap veteran, Monique took to the stage in 2019 and shared how she led the team into fully remodeling the marketing division’s Workfront instance into their operational system of record. This overhaul aligned processes and KPIs for four disparate groups which allowed for universal reporting metrics to be shared with executive leadership for the first time.When not at the office, you can usually find Monique sitting at a BWI gate watching one of the 800 movies she owns awaiting her next adventure. In 2019 she went on 16 trips including a week in Europe (London and Paris) and 3 visits to her favorite vacation spot - Orlando, Florida. Monique loves the thrill rides at Universal Studios and Disney World’s atmosphere.

Phil Oster has been working in Technology for over 35 years; 13 of them at haircare industry leader John Paul Mitchell Systems. And yes, he gets the irony of “a bald guy working at a shampoo company!” Over the course of those 13 years, Phil shepherded projects including JPMS’ private cloud, Enterprise Digital Transformation, WMS, and ERP systems. Phil’s goal at JPMS has always been to honor the company’s people and culture while advancing its use of new, more robust and flexible technologies in order to better support and serve the salon professional community.

Prior to JPMS, Phil was Director of Technology for Telemac Corporation, a telecommunications software company that created the technology used by companies such as TracFone. Working under the CEO and CTO, Phil managed a carrier-class Network Operations Center and maintained the company’s internal traditional IT stack.

Phil’s IT roots come from his early independent consulting days where his business “Blame the Computer” had an eclectic client list ranging from advertising agencies, food distributors, and international law firms to property managers, business managers, and even some celebrities.

Gene also leads Accenture’s global cross-industry CMO Community of 450 senior-most marketing leaders who gather throughout the year to collaboratively tackle their most pressing challenges. 

Gene frequently speaks and writes on the future of marketing and customer experience and on the changing role of the CMO. Prior to joining Accenture in 2014, Gene spent ten years as a CMO for early- and growth-stage tech companies, where he led digital marketing and experience transformations to more effectively inspire, acquire and retain customers, develop and launch new offerings, and accelerate profitable growth. 

As a CMO, Gene’s companies twice made the Inc. 500 (the #6 Software company in 2012 and the #23 Marketing/Advertising company in 2013). Heidi brings to Workfront over two decades of senior marketing leadership and a reputation for building award-winning marketing teams in the technology industry. She has a proven track record of driving measurable growth for some of the most respected enterprise SaaS technology brands and has been recognized for her industry expertise. Her knowledge in B2B marketing has enabled her to become a thought leader and a sought-out speaker at many industry events throughout the country.

Prior to Workfront, Heidi was the CMO of Plex Systems, Inc., where she was responsible for strategy and execution of all marketing efforts. She also previously served as CMO at Eloqua, Polycom, Taleo, and Hyperion and was the group vice president of marketing at PeopleSoft. In addition, Heidi served as a public company board director for Accelrys.

He has 20 years of experience in product management, product marketing, and business operations.

Prior to Workfront, Scott helped EMC double its cloud data protection business by establishing the go-to-market for commercial segments. Before that, at Microsoft he helped build the Xbox, Office, and Windows businesses globally. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, with a BA in international relations and holds an MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.

Scott is a married father of five who enjoys road trips, college sports, cycling, and golf.

Paige has more than 25 years of industry experience and an impressive record of building some of the most admired partner programs in the industry. Paige has built a rock star team, which tirelessly works with global systems integrators, strategic alliance partners, ISV’s, referral partners, and implementation partners to ensure their needs are met. Paige is an expert at developing, launching, and managing comprehensive partner networks, including robust partner training and certification programs. Prior to Workfront, Paige was the vice president of Partner Strategy and Programs at Sage and also held leadership positions at Billtrust, CA Technologies, BMC Software, and IBM. Paige is the recipient of multiple awards and industry recognition including CRN Channel Chief and CRN Top Women of the Channel.

In Paige’s free time she enjoys traveling to new and unique places and having fun with her family and friends. Her hobbies include skiing, scuba diving, photography, and golf.

Prior to Workfront, Aleks helped launch a new product line (Brand Experience) at Qualtrics, supported the reimagining of the customer experience at Farmers Insurance, and helped Directv launch a streaming service. Aleks has a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Riverside and an M.A. in social psychology from Claremont Graduate University.

Amy’s work with her team earned them a 2018 Lion Award for Optimization. The efficiencies her team has made using Workfront saved Thermo Fisher Scientific over $350,000 in their first year of use and over $450,000 this past year. Amy earned her bachelor's degree in broadcasting and communications before going on to earn her master's in organizational leadership from Point Park University. Amy has been happily married for 13 years and is the proud mother of two children, ages 11 and eight.
