LEHI, UT — September 13, 2012AtTask, an industry leader in Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) project and work management solutions, partnered with United Way for their annual Day of Caring to complete three service projects. The first project was to assist Central Elementary School, located in Pleasant Grove, Utah, by painting the playground area with educational exercises and games. The other two projects helped in assisting elderly families in cleanup projects, which include yard work and home repairs. "The employees at AtTask understand that it isn’t merely enough to just work in a community; you have to be actively involved in helping those within the community to really be apart of it, " explained Eric Morgan, CEO of AtTask. "Our employees, and executive team, have a passion, energy, and commitment to assist those in need and to make sure we partner with organizations, like United Way, who have that same drive and vision to better our communities." United Way’s Day of Caring is one of their primary events that they focus on annually. It began 20 years ago as way to get local businesses to encourage their employees to take a day off and work on service projects that would help their communities. "Over 160 AtTask employees showed up to help; this is tremendous and shows that volunteerism is an important part of their company culture, " said Bill Hulterstrom, CEO of United Way, Utah County. " Because of companies like AtTask, we can continue to work hard to strengthen communities by our commitment to focus on education, income and health." "The hardest part is that some of our employees had to stay back at the office to hold down the fort and those are the ones that feel left out," explains Morgan. "It tells you a lot about the kind of people that we have at AtTask and that is really gratifying to me." Watch AtTask’s Day of Caring video
