OREM, Utah--April 6, 2009--AtTask, the world’s most popular project and portfolio management (PPM) solution announces the 2009 April Update, streamlining business case development, enhancing reporting capabilities, and improving the desktop application Clik--enabling business process improvement and knowledge worker effectiveness.

“AtTask is a godsend,” says Keenan Wagner, Director of IT for Washington State Employees Credit Union. “It allows us to look at everything side by side and prepare reports that we can hand off to senior management so they can tell us where they want us to go.”

In the recent Dataquest Insight: Changing CIO Priorities, and What They Mean to IT Providers in 2009, published on April 01, 2009, Gartner analysts Christine Adams, Rolf Jester, and Mark P. McDonald write, “In 2009, current operations are the CIO’s focus; business process improvement, enterprise cost reduction and enterprise workforce effectiveness are the top priorities.” Gartner also suggests, “CIOs plan to deliver business expectations by reducing IT costs, linking business and IT strategy and plans, and delivering projects that enable business growth.”

“AtTask continues to lead the market with innovative product enhancements that provide substantial value to organizations looking to improve business processes, reduce costs, and increase knowledge worker effectiveness,” says Scott Johnson, CEO of AtTask. “The April Update includes enhancements that make critical information more accessible to the C-suite, enabling them to direct strategies that effect process improvement, workforce productivity, and facilitate business growth.”

The April Update also includes enhancements designed to improve user adoption and allow knowledge workers to maximize the value of Clik. The ability to manage documents within Clik was the most requested feature enhancement on the Idea Share, and is introduced with this update.

April Update Highlights:

Business Case Presentation Enhancements--AtTask enables potential project sponsors to export a completed business case to PDF and print a formal document for presentation.
Business Case Templates--When creating project requests, sponsors can now use templates for risks and goals when building a business case.
Enhanced Reporting on Business Goals--Enhanced reporting capabilities and views allow decision-makers to measure initiatives based upon project goals--providing added visibility into project performance.
Exporting Capacity Planning Information--Export completely editable Excel-specific functionality for additional reports and modifications.
Attach Documents in Clik--View, download, and upload documents with AtTask’s desktop application, Clik. Each issue, task, and approval task has a section that keeps track of all attached documents.

Organizations are looking at every potential initiative to ensure that it provides business value. The April Update enhances AtTask’s ability to deliver executives the information they need to make decisions that effect productivity and worker effectiveness.
