Three systems but no interaction
Prior to Workfront, entering data and accessing project elements in three different systems among its distributed workforce was a drain on productivity. Resource visibility was also a problem: greater efficiency was hard to achieve without complete views into assigned tasks and employee schedules.
“We had three working systems but no interaction among them,” explained Molly Privratsky, director of Email Operations for Trendline Interactive. “Because our team members work on multiple client projects at once and we always have lots of moving parts, we needed a flexible, master communications tool. We needed one place to keep track of everything. We also wanted a solution that would provide us with resourcing visibility so we could see everyone’s capacity on any given day.”
With Workfront, Trendline executives have at-a-glance views of what tasks their team members have scheduled, making it easier to reassign tasks. Employees use Workfront for day-to-day collaboration activities such as updating project tasks, posting comments, and answering requests. Creative briefs for client projects are hosted in Google Drive, which is accessible through a link in Workfront. The Google Drive integration provides Trendline and its client teams direct access to the most recent project files.
“Through Workfront and Google Drive, our team and our clients have immediate access to important documentation,” explained Privratsky. “They can see exactly what is being done and annotate changes in real time. Best of all, everyone knows which version is current.”
